S Time Keeper/Console Judge: Electronic devices should be splitscreened with Google Meets and Buzzin.Live both open and visible. The timekeeper/console judge will receive a rounds schedule with clickable links to the Google Meets. The moderator in the Google Meet will give you the code to get into the Buzzin.Live in the chatbox. When it asks for Your Nickname, you will type in Console Judge and not join any team. 1. At the start of the round, the console judge will ask each student from each team to log into Buzzin.Live with the game code provided in the chatbox. Instruct the students to type in the first three letters of their school name and their number in the Your Nickname box (Ex: MID1). That should correspond to a nametag the student is wearing. 2. Watches the chat box in Google Meets to see if any challenges occur during the round. The moderator will type Q1, ask the question and then the console judge will call out the school and number of the student who buzzes in to Buzzin.Live first. Cameras should be on and the student with the name tag matching what the console judge called out should answer. 4. Uses timer/stopwatch on Buzzin.Live to begin count of 10 seconds as soon as a team member is recognized. 5. Turns off timer/stopwatch when the student begins to answer. 6. Uses timer/stopwatch on Buzzin.Live to begin time after each question is asked if no one buzzes in. 7. Calls time at the end of 10 seconds if no answer is given.
Scorekeeper:
1. Is logged in to the official scoresheet folder in Google Docs. 2. During rounds, enters scores on the appropriate Google Doc score sheet. Check the competition room number, round number, and team names are correct for each round. 3. At the end of the round verbally confirm the scores and ask each coach to verbally verify. 4. Enter the challenge room to let the head scorekeepers know that the round is over. Once all scorekeepers from all rooms have entered the challenge room, the round is officially over. The scorekeepers will be sent back to their room to let everyone know that the round is over and that the teams can move to their next competition room for the next round.
